Skin Rejuvenation-
Skin rejuvenation is a gentle intense pulsed light procedure that can be performed on the face, chest, arms, legs….just about anywhere with little to no downtime!

Skin rejuvenation is a non-ablative and non-invasive, meaning skin is neither removed nor damaged.  The intense pulsed light targets and destroys unwanted blood vessels and pigmented discolorations without harming normal skin.  The process also restores the homogeneous skin color of your youth and stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen that replenishes what time and sun damage has taken away.  This collagen “plumping” effect creates smoother skin and lessens fine lines.

After treatment the area will feel like a very mild sunburn and may be slightly pink and swollen for a few hours.  Many patients have this done during their lunch hour and are able to return to work afterwards.  Age spots, freckles, and sun spots will get darker after treatment and flake off within 7-10 days leaving fresh new skin.  Blood vessels may disappear immediately after treatment or fade away in a few weeks.  Since collagen is produced slowly and in small amounts after each treatment, skin smoothing and fine line reduction may take nine to twelve weeks following the third treatment.

It’s extremely important to use a sun block daily during and after your treatment to prevent further sun damage form occurring.

Most patients require 3-6 treatments to get the desired result.  Treatments take approx. 30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.  We do offer a price savings when treatments are bought as a package as compared to paying as you go.

Skin Tightening-
Skin Tightening is achieved using intense pulsed light that can be done on the face, neck, arms, & abdomen, with little to no down time!

Skin tightening is achieved by first doing a single pass with the Skin Rejuvenating hand piece followed by a double pulse pass with the Skin Tightening hand piece for appropriate skin types.  This gives our patients not only great tightening results but also improves their pigmented discolorations and unwanted broken blood vessels!

Skin Tightening treatments take 30-45 min, are non-ablative and non-invasive, meaning skin is neither removed nor damaged.  Patients can have this done and return to most normal activities.  Patients need to be using a sun block daily during and after treatments to protect skin from further sun damage and should avoid heated situations 72 hours following a treatment.  Treatments are done once a month for up to 8 months.  Since collogen is produced slowly and in small amounts after each treatment, ski smoothing, tightening, and fine line reduction may be noted nine to twelve weeks after the first treatment.

Hair Removal –

Hair Removal is gentle intense pulsed light treatment that can be performed just about anywhere that pigmented hair grows, with little or no downtime!

Hair Removal is non-invasive and fast!  Nothing penetrates the skin, and multiple hairs area treated with each pulse.  The intense pulsed light targets the melanin in the hair follicle causing thermal damage to the hair growth cells without normal skin.  Each treatment reduces the number and size of hair follicles in the area until you reach the desired result.

Prior to the treatment, shave the area you want treated.  This allows all the energy to be absorbed in the hair follicle and not the shaft.  Patients should have no sun exposure two weeks before treatment and one week following a treatment.

The treated area will feel like a very mild sunburn and may be slightly pink for a few hours.  Hair follicles in the skin may be red and swollen. Many patients have the treatment during there lunch hour and are able to return to work.

Hair that is damaged by the treatment is still in the hair shaft and will gradually shed within the next two weeks.

Treatments usually take about 10 min for underarm and 1 hour for lower legs.  Treatment time is dependent on the size of the treated area.  Treatments are done once every 4-6 weeks and eight to twelve treatments are needed for desired results.  We do offer a discount when treatments are purchased as a package as compared to paying as you go.
